I think time has come for a reality check on atleast a couple of fronts.personal, professional and public.
Times are tough (economic uncertainity) and the situation out there is going to get merkier....the most unfortunate part of it is that we are seeing it in front of us and even if we act promptly still it is going to take some time to perhaps feel -what some political outfit calls 'feel good factor'.I think that feel good factor is really what is needed to in these trying times.
But some positives that have come out of this extraordinary situation are cost cutting at an indiviual level no more spending on junk food,no more casual and window shopping, sense of urgency, preparedness.
And yes this whole incident of Mumbai being under siege has added salt on the injury. One of the most brutal and inhuman acts by some rotten minds i still cannot believe that most of them were in the age group of 18-23.At that age we were just moving out of colleges and beginning to come to terms with the thought that we might have to out of Vile Parle ( shell ) for further education.
I love watching 'Breaking News' on any of the tv channels ,i can literally sit for hours without any trouble but this time around i managed to sit for long hours watching the story unfold but as i am writing this post a sense of fear, some unusual feeling (perhaps a feeling of drag) is constantly
disturbing my mind.
I hope with a good sound sleep this will be over or perhaps i am desperately feeling the need to just pick up a sensible novel that would keep me engaged or even a real paisa vasool movie can do the trick ....
Anyways just one thing to remember when going gets tough tough get going.Winds of change and hope are on the horizon it's just a matter of time..
and yes one more thing i know it would be difficult to party this 31st in these times but as they say Mumbai never stops likewise we should never stop.... party hard for a healthy 2009.
