The Final Journey

17th November saw end of an era - uncrowned monarch of Maharashtra finally breathed his last.

For a couple of days news of him being unwell was shown frequently on all TV news channels (including hindi one's) bringing many of his shiv sainiks and followers to Matoshri.VIP and VVIP personalities like Sharad Pawar,Gopinath Munde,Nitin Gadkari,Big B,Hemaji,Lataji visited Matoshri.A team of renowned doctors was attending and it is said that his room in Matoshri had virtually turned in to ICU.Many of his followers and even detractors performed pooja and other rituals praying for his life but finally the Hindu Hriday Samrat went down fighting against destiny on 17th Nov 2012 due to a cardiac arrest.

As soon as this news was flashed on all TV news channels (this was certainly much more than a BREAKING NEWS !!) Maharashtra came to a standstill especially Mumbai came to a virtual halt all shops and commercial establishments were closed.Mumbai was put on high alert and there were 20,000 Mumbai police officers, 15 units of the State Reserve Police Force and 3 contingents of the Rapid Action Force were deployed---- now that's called vat in marathi.

The usually rough and tough shiv sainik was literally crying today .....

He was accorded a state funeral at Shivaji Park.It was the first public funeral in the city since that of Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1920.Approximately 1 million to 1.5 million mourners attended his funeral and believe me the man's soul must have rested in peace. A huge vacumm has been created and will remain henceforth in Maharashtra /Nation's politics.

The Parliament of India opened for its winter session on 21 November 2012. Thackeray was the only non-member to be noted in its traditional list of obituaries. He is one of few people to have been recorded thus without being a member of either the Lok Sabha or the Rajya Sabha. Both houses of Bihar Assembly also paid rich tribute to Thackrey.

20 November 2012

Today it is 20th Nov 2012,yesterday parents went to tai's place to stay for a week and it's hardly one day
and i am feeling a bit uneasy.

options available -

-go out and watch a late night movie
-call a friend and go out for a drink/smoke
-watch TV
-reading a book which i will do shortly
-writing a blog which i am doing now

but still i am not really coming to terms with these available options.....have realized one thing you need somebody to talk or atleast somebody should be around ...

good its not a 3BHK as right now i really need is only 1 room that's it..

anyways good time to introspect , plan/replan ,prioritize whatever you call it and finally act accordingly the toughest part..

just waiting for 31st Dec 2012 and hope this time i am in Goa......i really need that

London eye 2012 most memorable night

Arrived at Embankement tube around 7:00 pm and the moment I stepped out I saw the first sight of London eye...it was amazing to see this flush white structure against a clear sky and calm thames.

As I started to walk towards it the sight got clearer and clearer and I started loving it more.

I could not resist and pushed myself in one of the several mobile cruise holtels and ordered 1 pint Carling beer with chips.

I was on the deck above thames, london eye just to my left and here came brilliant golden coloured Carling beer with froth on top......I had my first sip slowly ,calmness around my ears my eyes closed.... it went down slowly .......the feeling was divine......!!!!

Drank the beer leisurely enjoying the sight and then moved on to finally reach security check....once done I was in one of the several capsule rides and as it slowly started..... the view was amazing....West Minister,Big Ben ...thames ...high rise buildings .....against a clear sky ....and as sun started fading it became increasingly intresting with tints and shades of multi coloured lights across the dark sky ...........amazing feeling ...

Finally I came out and started walking towards the station ...and suddenly on a nearby footpath ...an old Brit  with traditional beard ...jeans ...tshirt ...hat was playing Romeo & Juliet on his guitar and he had such a strong & passionate voice ...

I just stood on the staircase and listening those chords ..it was dark ...cool breeze ...thames lit up with lights ....london eye lit u with dim blue .....few couples kissing and cosing up with their partners ...it was the most romantic feeling I have ever had and strongly felt the desire to have somebody with whoom I could share this.....

Please do visit London eye at night it is the most amazing and fulfilling experiences of your life and don't forget to listen Romeo & Juliet ...played on a guitar ...on a cold night

Cheers !!!!
